1989- 1997 engaged in the preparation, process experiment and application experiment of superhard coating on metal surface in Qingdao University of Science and Technology. 1997- Now, he is engaged in the research of nanocomposites in Qingdao University of Science and Technology. The main research directions are surface strengthening technology of metal materials, preparation and performance testing of nanocomposites. The key scientific and technological project of the Eighth Five-Year Plan, "Study on the Industrialization of Plasma Chemical Vapor Deposition Hard Film Technology" (1993- 1997), passed the national appraisal in April 1997. The appraisal opinion holds that the research of this project is in the leading position in the world. PCVD-TiN coating is applied to high temperature resistant miniature bearings of aircraft, which fills the gap in China. The project "Study on the Application of Plasma Metal Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition Hard Film" (1996- 1998) issued by Qingdao Science and Technology Commission passed the municipal appraisal in April 1998. The appraisal opinion holds that the project has reached the international advanced level in the use of some workpieces, and this technology fills the gap in China. The project "Study on Thermal Jet Vapor Deposition and Its Film Forming Mechanism" is supported by Shandong Natural Science Foundation.
