The process of applying for general taxpayers by the Electronic Taxation Bureau is as follows:

1. Log on to the website of the Electronic Taxation Bureau and enter the "Taxpayer Services" page.

2. On the taxpayer service page, find the option of "Apply for General Taxpayer" and click to enter the application page.

3. Fill in the application form, including taxpayer's basic information, tax registration certificate number, bank account and other information.

4. Submit the application form and wait for the tax authorities to review it.

5. After approval, the tax authorities will issue a general taxpayer qualification certificate to taxpayers.

6. Taxpayers need to file and review the general taxpayer qualification certificate within the specified time, otherwise their qualifications will be revoked.
