Of course, Pakistan and China have good relations. It can be said that Pakistan has the best relationship with China among all countries in the world!
The leaders of Pakistan and China both call the relationship between the two countries "all-weather friendship between China and Pakistan".
China-Pakistan friendship:
Pakistan participates in Wenchuan earthquake rescue.
Pakistan has four transport planes, two of which are used for daily flights and the other two are used as emergency standby. At present, two planes carrying relief supplies are still in China. After urgent consultations, the Pakistani government decided to use the remaining two spare planes. On May 27th, a Pakistani medical team consisting of 28 medical staff flew to the earthquake-stricken area in Gansu, China. To this end, the Pakistani side specially used the last two combat readiness transport aircraft.
The groom at the Pakistani wedding was very concerned about the first batch of Pakistani medical teams going to the earthquake-stricken areas in Gansu, and the relevant reception departments in China hoped to make good living arrangements for them. To this end, China specifically asked the Embassy of China in Pakistan about the catering arrangements of the Pakistani medical team.
Martin Khan, Director of the East Asia Department of Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told Jing Yao, Political Counselor of Pakistan's Embassy in China, that the Pakistani medical team would bring some simple food by itself and try not to add trouble and burden to the disaster area.
"Don't talk about money"
The urgency of the emergency area. After the earthquake in China, Pakistan provided more than 20,000 tents. China's embassy in Pakistan knows that these tents are a big expense for underdeveloped Pakistan, so it hopes to send them to the disaster area in the form of China purchase. However, after several inquiries, Farouk, chairman of Pakistan National Disaster Reduction Bureau, and other Pakistani officials refused to disclose the price of the tent.
"These tents are for disaster relief and to express our wishes," Farouk said.
"The Pakistani side said:' This kind of aid is not measured by money. Did big brother China ask us for money when he helped us before?' I cried when I heard this, "an embassy staff member said emotionally.
Jing Yao said that according to the market price, a tent is generally around $200. The value of Pakistan's donation in tents alone is more than 4 million US dollars.
Dismantle the combat readiness tent.
Pakistan is one of the countries that donated tents to the disaster-stricken areas in China. More than 20 thousand tents are not a small number.
The Pakistani government didn't think much about donations, but put disaster relief first, and mobilized tents for the earthquake-stricken areas in China with the help of the whole country. These tents, bearing the deep friendship of the Pakistani people, are continuously transported from Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore and other cities to the disaster-stricken areas in China.
When loading tents in Islamabad, all the tents in the strategic reserve warehouse were removed.
Love transmission on karakoram highway.
After Pakistan provided disaster relief tents, transportation became a problem again. After all, Pakistan's transport planes can only transport two or three hundred tents per flight. Therefore, the Embassy decided through consultation with Pakistan that most of the tents would be transported by karakoram highway-China-Pakistan Friendship Highway.
Karakoram highway has a high average altitude and complicated road conditions. On May 26th, 16 container trucks were shipped from Islamabad. Due to the melting of glaciers 50 kilometers away from the Hongqilapu port in Pakistan, the China-Pakistan Friendship Highway was washed away and flooded for one kilometer, making it impossible for trucks carrying relief supplies to pass.
After emergency repairs by China Xinjiang Road and Bridge Company and Pakistani engineers overnight, the road finally resumed traffic. After four days' trekking, the motorcade finally arrived at the Hongqilafu Port in China, and held a handover ceremony with the people of China who were waiting there in the heavy snow.
As of press time, there is also a tent convoy transported by Pakistan marching on the China-Pakistan Friendship Highway with frequent mudslides, carrying out a thousand miles of love transfer.
Adversity and * *
In the early morning of September 29th, 2008, a strong earthquake occurred in Balochistan province in southwest Pakistan. On the day of the earthquake, China president Hu Jintao sent a message of condolences to Pakistani President Zardari, expressing sincere condolences to the Pakistani government and people on behalf of the government and people of China and in his own name, and expressing deep condolences to the unfortunate victims. President Hu is the first foreign leader to express condolences to the President of Pakistan. On the 30th, China's ambassador to Pakistan, Luo Zhaohui, handed a cheque of $654.38 million donated by the China government to Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari. China was the first country to provide assistance to Pakistan after the earthquake. These two firsts, as Zardari said, once again show the brotherhood between Pakistan and China, which is "deeper than the sea and higher than the mountains".
