New Youth is a famous magazine in the New Culture Movement. New Youth, originally published as a youth magazine, is one of the most important revolutionary newspapers in China's modern history. It was established in Shanghai on September 19 15.
1 916 September1Sunday, Youth magazine was renamed New Youth, and Chen Duxiu published an article "New Youth" in the first issue of New Youth, calling on young people to be "new youth". Ten years later, 1926 ceased to be published, and it has always been the standard-bearer of China's new culture movement and the main front for the promotion of new ideas.
Magazine1June issue, with the 6th of each issue as one volume. From publication to publication in July 1922, volume 9, No.54. As its founder and main writer, Chen Duxiu won a reputation and became a man of the hour in modern history. Since 19 18, the publication has been revised and submissions are not accepted.
The magazine advocates the new culture movement, science, democracy and new literature. After the October Revolution in Russia, New Youth became one of the publications promoting productism, and later became an early propaganda publication in China.
In the inaugural issue of New Youth, Chen Duxiu published the inaugural word of "Tell Youth" and put forward six requirements for youth:
1, freedom, not slavery.
2. Progress rather than conservatism.
3. Make progress rather than retire.
The world is not locked in a country.
5. Practical rather than empty.
6. Scientific rather than imaginary.
In Chen Duxiu's view, youth is like early spring, like the sunrise, like the bud of a hundred flowers, like the rebirth of a sword, which is the most precious period of life. It is very important to explain that youth is the most precious period of life, and emphasize its "vigor", "vigor" and "vigor".
Therefore, young people should be "independent rather than slaves, progressive rather than conservative, enterprising rather than retired, sophisticated rather than imprisoned, utilitarian rather than empty talk, and scientific rather than imagination".
