Introduction to Hong Kong
Hong Kong, referred to as HK for short, is also called Xiangdao and Xiangjiang. It is the full name of People's Republic of China (PRC) Special Administrative Region. It is located in the south of China, east of the Pearl River Estuary, facing China and Macau across the sea in the west, Shenzhen in the north and Wanshan Islands in Zhuhai in the south. The regional scope includes Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, New Territories and 262 surrounding islands.

The topography of Hong Kong is dominated by hills, with the highest point at 958 meters above sea level. Hong Kong has a subtropical climate, but it has a temperate climate for almost half a year.
Hong Kong is a highly prosperous free port and an international metropolis. Together with new york and London, it is called Xingang, the third largest financial center in the world and the third largest first-tier city in the world by GaWC.
