3. Food Allergy
For some cats with special physical characteristics, some ingredients in the food given to them by their owners may become potential allergens; however, food allergy usually occurs when they eat something they don't normally eat. Foods that tend to cause allergies in cats include cereals, food coloring, chemical additives, and preservatives. The resulting allergy is usually mild, but cats with the onset of the disease will vomit several times a week, and most of them occur within two hours after eating. Cats with food allergies sometimes have intermittent diarrhea, but the severity is not necessarily proportional to the degree of vomiting.
