Grassroots work experience refers to work experience in county and township party and government agencies, village party organizations or village committees, and various enterprises and institutions. Experience working in military regiments and units below the regiment level, retired soldiers’ experience in active service in the military, experience of college graduates who have left school and are not employed, participating in internships at college graduate internship bases or participating in project research in enterprises and institutions, can be considered Grassroots work experience. For those applying for central government agencies, experience working in municipal government agencies can also be regarded as grassroots work experience. Work experience in municipal government agencies is deemed to be grassroots work experience. The deadline for calculating grassroots work experience is October 2021.

Organizations directly under the county level and below located in difficult and remote areas, according to the "Opinions on Carrying out the Examination and Recruitment of Civil Servants at the Grassroots Level in Hard and Remote Areas", can lower academic requirements, relax professional conditions, and not limit work Measures such as years and experience, separate passing scores for the written examination, etc., to appropriately lower the entry threshold. Active military personnel, current non-fresh graduates, serving civil servants and staff of agencies governed by the Civil Servant Law cannot apply.
