Jilin University of Finance and Economics is a key university in Jilin Province. It is a school jointly built by Jilin Provincial People's Government and State Taxation Administration of The People's Republic of China. The school started from the training course for bank cadres held by the head office of Northeast Bank in July 1946, and experienced several historical periods, such as Northeast Bank Cadre School, Northeast Bank Specialized School, China People's Bank Changchun Bank School, Jilin Finance and Trade College and Jilin Finance and Trade School.
/kloc-0 resumed Jilin institute of finance and trade in may, 1978;/kloc-0 changed its name to Changchun institute of taxation in may, 1992; in 2004, it was selected as one of the ten "key universities in Jilin province"; in March, 20 10 changed its name to Jilin university of finance and economics. The school is a red financial education base established by our Party in the northeast, the first financial institution of higher learning established in New China, one of the ordinary undergraduate financial institutions established earlier in China, and the first and only tax undergraduate university in China.
