Time-consuming and labor-intensive transportation has become one of the obstacles to the development of enterprises.

It is understood that Yili and Mengniu Group did not choose more railways because the railway transportation was not smooth enough and the transportation time could not be guaranteed. If there is a holiday peak, this line may be cut off. In addition, with the deepening of logistics management in production enterprises, the transportation demand is further refined. In the past, railway transportation, no matter in the configuration of box source and vehicle source, or in the service consciousness, content and mode, can no longer meet the needs of modern enterprises for integrated logistics transportation services.

With the pace of railway reform, railway container trains move in time, bringing new vitality to Yili and Mengniu.

In 2002, Mengniu and Yili signed logistics service agreements with China Railway Freight Forwarders respectively. More importantly, they saw the hope of railway transportation outsourcing. After tasting the sweetness, Mengniu Group decided to ship more products in railway containers, and Yili Group gradually transferred the transportation back to the railway. In 2002, Yili and Mengniu transported 6000TEU of dairy products through China Railway Freight Forwarding Company.

At the same time, the resources of railway transportation have also been fully developed. China Railway Freight Forwarders took an active part in the development of service projects, implemented whole-process control management, improved service quality, shortened transportation time, improved production efficiency, and regained the share of railways in the freight market. According to the production and marketing statistics provided by Yili and Mengniu, in 2002, the freight of Yili and Mengniu on railway container transportation was 30 million yuan, and this year it will reach 60 million yuan. On September 4th, the railway department officially confirmed that the fresh milk container train from Hohhot to Guangzhou starts in Hohhot every Tuesday and Friday and arrives at Jiangcun Marshalling Station in Guangzhou. Fresh milk, which used to be bumpy during the journey 15 days, now takes only 98 hours to reach Guangzhou.

Fresh milk from Inner Mongolia grassland finally has a direct north-south railway Shinkansen. The opening of this Shinkansen has brought new enlightenment to both sides.
