Please tell us what role taxation plays in taking from the people and using it for the people.
Fan Gengen introduced that taxation is the blood of * * * and the country, and it has a basic, pillar and supportive role in national governance. It is not only related to the future and destiny of the country, but also to the vital interests of the people, so the whole society is very concerned about where the tax revenue comes from and where to go. In modern life, tax revenue comes from everyone's labor and creation, and taxpayers make contributions to the country according to their different income levels and affordability. For example, the cameras and video cameras in the hands of journalists and friends bear the value-added tax when they buy them, and everyone has to pay personal income tax if their monthly income exceeds a certain standard. Since the founding of New China, the national tax system has undergone several rounds of optimization and adjustment. However, no matter how the tax system is adjusted, the tax revenue always adheres to the people first, full of people's livelihood, and gives care to difficult enterprises and low-and middle-income people.
Fan Gengen mentioned that, for example, due to the epidemic situation and other factors, the production and operation of some enterprises have been very difficult in recent years. To this end, the state has introduced a series of tax refund, tax reduction and tax deferral policies. "Before coming to Beijing, a person in charge of an enterprise told me that last year they received more than15 million tax refund, updated their equipment and stabilized their employment. In the first two months of this year, the momentum was very good, and more than 300 workers were busy again, and their wages were higher than last year." Fan Gengen introduced that according to statistics, only one tax refund was left, and last year, the state took out 2.46 trillion yuan. The support of these real money and silver solved the urgent needs of enterprises, and more importantly, boosted the confidence of development.
People may be more concerned about where taxes are spent than where they come from. Fan Gengen said, as we all know, tax revenue is mainly to meet the public needs of the people, and the state uses it to deal with long-term major issues, such as consolidating national defense, developing science and technology, building high-speed rail, earthquake relief and so on. In addition to doing great things, taxes are also used to protect the people's practical things and solve the people's urgent difficulties and worries. At the end of last year, the Jiangxi provincial government issued more than 47 million social security cards to the residents of the province. Now, "old watches" can directly swipe this card for travelling, seeking medical treatment and traveling, and 100 subsidy projects also directly reach the people through this card. Taxation is linked to the national economy and the people's livelihood. As a tax worker, I deeply feel that my mission is glorious and my responsibility is on my shoulders. I must keep in mind my initial intentions, do every job conscientiously, and hand in excellent performance papers to the party and the people.
