The Youth Volunteers Association of xx District is a volunteer organization with young volunteers as the main body, relying on the Youth League of xx***. In 2006, the District Youth Volunteers Association United and guided the vast number of young volunteers in the region, vigorously promoted the concept of "dedication, friendship, mutual assistance and progress" and organized a variety of volunteer activities, making positive contributions to the full implementation of the strategic concept of "New Beijing, Great Olympics" and the comprehensive construction of a harmonious socialist society. First, comprehensively strengthen the self-construction of the Youth Volunteers Association1.Organizational construction. In March 2005, on the basis of summing up many years' experience and careful organization and preparation, the xx District Youth Volunteers Association and the xx District Youth Olympic Volunteer Service Corps were formally established, and the first Council and leading body of the Association were elected, and the rules and regulations such as the Constitution of the xx District Youth Volunteers Association were improved. The Association has made a unified plan for the work of young volunteers in the whole region, and gradually established and improved the management system of recruitment, registration, selection, training, assessment and commendation. At present, with the team as the main body, the association has systematically integrated regional resources, initially established a localized management mechanism with the region as the core and the region as the extension, and formed a relatively standardized "Association-Corps-Detachment" cascade service network. The Association integrates regional youth volunteer resources, with more than 30 youth volunteer service teams and more than 30,000 young volunteers. 2. Investigation and study. In order to further find out the base of volunteer service in our district, the Communist Youth League Committee started the volunteer service investigation in May this year, and distributed 500 questionnaires, systematically summarized the present situation and characteristics of volunteer service in our district, analyzed the existing problems and shortcomings, and put forward countermeasures and suggestions in combination with the actual situation in our district. In July this year, the Communist Youth League Committee held the xx Youth Volunteer Work Forum and Youth Volunteer Work Appreciation Meeting, and invited relevant leaders, experts and Communist Youth League secretaries of central and municipal units in the district to study the inherent laws of Olympic volunteer service and actively explore the long-term working mechanism. Cooperate with the Communist Youth League Committee to do a good job in the recruitment, registration and legislative investigation of volunteers for the 2008 Olympic Games, laying a good foundation for the standardization and legalization of volunteer service. Second, explore and innovate the working mode of volunteer service. In the colorful volunteer service activities, the association gradually explored and formed the working modes of brand operation, socialization operation and project operation, and comprehensively applied them to volunteer activities to continuously promote the development of volunteer service. 1. Brand operation-combining key volunteer service activities with social hotspots, taking a number of work brands with profound connotations and vivid images as the platform, rallying volunteer service forces, serving social needs, and increasing publicity to form a positive brand effect. Over the years, the club has focused on various service needs, and created a series of beautiful brands such as "Community Learning Center", "Urban Love Action", "Community Care Project" and "Warm Mutual Assistance Project", leading young volunteers to bravely open up a civilized atmosphere and serve the construction of a community-based harmonious society and a first-class area. 2. Socialized operation-establish a comprehensive view of resources, break through the concept of regional ownership with the work of young volunteers as a link, and comprehensively integrate regional resources. Invite the secretary of the Youth League Committee of each resident unit to serve as the vice president of the Young Volunteers Association, actively develop volunteer service projects suitable for the resident units to participate in, and form a benign interaction in the region. Vigorously strengthen the "construction of district schools", and extensively introduce college student volunteer resources to carry out social practice activities in the community. Systematically integrate the resources of the central and municipal units in the district to carry out volunteer service activities. 3. Project-based operation-based on the volunteer service project, systematically plan the volunteer service content in a certain field for a period of time. Give full play to the matchmaking role of the Youth Volunteers Association, realize the direct contact between the supply and demand sides of volunteer service, clarify the service content, and highlight the work focus. With the signing of the project "Youth Volunteer Service' Three Districts' Strategy" as a symbol, a new mode of volunteer service project operation was created. At present, the volunteer project of "Community Learning Center", the project that college students serve as the assistant to the director of the Community Youth Working Committee, and the project of "One Help One" pairing to help the elderly, the needy, the orphans and the students have worked well and have become the daily volunteer service activities of volunteers. Third, do a good job in Olympic volunteer work this year, with the theme of "volunteering for the harmonious pioneer of the Olympic Games", the District Youth Volunteers Association has carried out in-depth volunteer service activities to welcome the Olympic Games, accumulate experience and reserve talents for doing a good job in volunteer service for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. 1.Recruitment and publicity of volunteers for the Games. On August 28th, under the careful guidance of the Communist Youth League Committee and the Beijing Olympic Games Volunteer Work Coordination Group, with the strong support of the relevant units in the whole region and the careful preparation of the Communist Youth League Committee, the recruitment of volunteers for the 2008 Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games in our region was officially launched. After the recruitment started, the Communist Youth League Committee set up three district-level publicity and consultation points for the recruitment of volunteers for the Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games in front of the unit, Xidan Shopping Mall and Beijing Book Building, carried out online publicity and registration, set up registration points in seven streets in the whole district, and announced the consultation hotline and e-mail address of the Communist Youth League Committee to the public. Environmental volunteer work for the Green Olympics. Olympic volunteers' public welfare practice activities. The Communist Youth League Committee actively organized the voluntary activities of "welcoming the Olympics, stressing civilization and building a new style" to build a civilized traffic, and organized nearly 800 young volunteers to discourage uncivilized traffic behavior in important sections of our district, providing volunteer service for thousands of hours. We will continue to organize college student volunteers from China Youth University for Politics to go deep into communities, institutions and enterprises to carry out publicity activities on Olympic knowledge and etiquette, so as to enhance the awareness and experience of the community and young people on the Olympic Games. In September this year, 500 volunteer spectators from Beijing Jiaotong University, China Youth Politics College, Foreign Affairs College and other 13 units were organized to watch the China Open in a civilized way, so that volunteers can further understand the rules of international competitions and guide everyone to "be civilized about winning or losing the competition". 4. Actively help urban poor students. On this basis, we will establish interest groups for young people who come to Beijing to work in foreign languages and study, and constantly enrich the connotation of the project work. The "Torch Action of Youth Health Ambassadors" has been carried out twice to enter the youth center, and young volunteers from the health system have been organized to perform voluntary physical examinations for more than 200 young workers in Beijing. Second, pay attention to vivid publicity activities, extensively carry out public welfare practice activities and volunteer knowledge popularization activities, and give full play to the role of typical guidance. Third, pay attention to the cultivation of tangible propaganda carriers, strengthen communication with various news media, and establish good cooperative partnerships; At the same time, in communities, institutions, enterprises and institutions, we often carry out "looking for volunteers around us" activities to ensure that volunteer publicity activities are closer to reality, life and the masses. 2 clear functions, improve the mechanism, and strengthen the systematic and standardized construction of volunteer service management system in our district.
