Shandong Police College, referred to as "Mountain Police" for short, is located in Jinan City, Shandong Province. It is a full-time ordinary institution of higher learning organized by the Shandong Provincial People's Government and managed by the Shandong Provincial Department of Education and the Shandong Provincial Public Security Department.

The college was formerly the Shandong Police Academy, which was established in May 1946. After adjustment and evolution, it was transformed into Shandong Public Security College in May 1983. In 2004, it was transformed into Shandong Police College.

As of May, 20 19, there are 590 faculty members in the college, including 264 full-time teachers. The proportion of full-time teachers with associate senior titles or above is 53.4%, and the proportion of teachers with master's and doctoral degrees is 82.2%. There are 3 recipients of special government allowance from the State Council, and young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions at the provincial level 1 person.

From 20 16 to 20 19 in May, the Institute * * * undertook 34 national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, including 3 1 project at the bureau level, among which "Special Project on Safety Risk Prevention and Emergency Technology and Equipment of a Company * * *" was listed as 201. Published academic papers 193, including 66 core journal papers, 20 of which were included in SCI, EI and CSSCI journals, and published 33 academic works.

The school has a reasonable age, education, major, academic background and professional title structure, which can meet the needs of public security education, teaching and training. At present, there are 580 teaching and administrative staff, and the proportion of full-time teachers with associate senior titles or above is 48%.

Teachers with master's and doctor's degrees account for 90.4% of full-time teachers, and the recipients of special government allowance of the State Council 1 person and ministerial allowance of the Ministry of Public Security 1 person were selected into the expert talent pool of the Ministry of Public Security and the Provincial Public Security Department for 34 times, 2 young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions in Shandong Province, 6 outstanding teachers in the national and provincial public security systems, and 8 provincial and ministerial-level teaching teachers.
