Prefecture-level city governments are composed of mayors, deputy mayors, directors and committee directors.
The mayor and deputy mayor are elected by the Municipal People's Congress. When the Municipal People's Congress is not in session, the appointment and removal of deputy mayors shall be decided by the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress.
Other members of the prefecture-level city government, such as the director, director and committee director, should be nominated by the mayor within two months after the mayor and deputy mayor are elected, decided by the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, and reported to the provincial and autonomous regional governments for the record.
