Jiaxiang County is located in the west of Jining City, Shandong Province, and belongs to the alluvial plain of the Yellow River. It is 22 kilometers wide from east to west and 47.5 kilometers long from north to south, with a total area of 97 1.6 square kilometers. It takes over the urban area in the east, Jinxiang County in the south, Juye and Yuncheng County in Heze City in the west, Liangshan County in the north, and Wenshang County in the northeast across the Ji Liang Canal. The county seat is located in the middle of the county territory, with geographical coordinates of 1 16 20' and 35 24' north latitude. It is located 22km east of Jining, 45km south of Jinxiang, 23km west of Juye and 50km north of Liangshan. It now governs eight towns (Jiaxiang Town, Wolongshan Town, Liangbaosi Town, Macun Town, Dazhanglou Town, Zhifang Town, Jintun Town and Tuanli Town). Seven townships (Maji Township, Mandong Township, Zhongshan Township, Monggol Township, Laosengtang Township, Huanggai Township and Zhang Wan Township) have 7 14 administrative villages with a population of 760,000.
