Luo Binghui (1897-1946) is a native of yiliang county, Yunnan. Former Deputy Chief of Staff of the Eighth Route Army. Luo Binghui joined the Yunnan Army as a soldier in his early years, and took part in the war to protect Yuan and the Northern Expedition. He quickly accepted the progressive thought and secretly joined the China * * * Production Party in July 1929. 1989, Luo Binghui was identified as one of 36 military strategists by the Central Military Commission, and he was the only general in Yunnan who won this honor. On September 14, 2009, Luo Binghui was named 100 as one of the hero models who made outstanding contributions to the founding of New China.
