In Italy, both individuals and enterprises have a tax number, which is a registration number equivalent to the domestic ID number. Individuals or enterprises no longer need to live or do business in Italy, or the business restructuring of enterprises may cancel the tax number.

Before canceling the tax number, in addition to fulfilling other statutory business regulations, all related tax matters need to be handled, including paying taxes and submitting tax returns.
