Anguo city, formerly known as qi zhou, is under the management of Baoding City, located in the hinterland of North China Plain, in the center of the Beijing-Tianjin-Shijiazhuang Triangle, with Huang Shuo Railway, Tianjin-Shijiazhuang expressway and Qugang-expressway passing through.

It is the largest distribution center of Chinese herbal medicines in China and one of the cradles of Chinese herbal medicine culture in China. Known as the "drug capital" and "the first drug market in the world", it enjoys the reputation that "the medicine is made when the grass is in Anguo, and the medicine is not heard until qi zhou".
