There are many differences in vocabulary and pronunciation between Peixian dialect and Xuzhou dialect, which is related to a large number of Shanxi immigrants.

The fourth tone of Xuzhou dialect is exactly the same as Putonghua, and basically follows the following rules: four tones are the same as Putonghua, three tones change into two, two tones change into one, and one tone drops (similar to the third tone, such as "Zhang", and the pronunciation of Xuzhou dialect is similar to Tianjin dialect). These are basic rules, but some words still don't follow this rule.
