If the unit needs to update the passenger car, it shall apply for updating the index within 6 months from the date of completing the transfer registration, cancellation of registration or moving out of the city.

After the unit applies for updating the index, the index management institution will send the application information to the market supervision and management department, the municipal public security traffic police department and the tax authorities for verification, and it will take about 10 working days to complete the audit according to the verification results. Therefore, if the unit fails to pay taxes, it will not pass the verification by the tax authorities, and it is not allowed to update the passenger car index.
