1. Pay the vehicle purchase tax at the vehicle purchase tax management section (point) of the tax bureau. Information includes: copy of personal ID card, car purchase invoice and vehicle certificate (copy). The cost is 8% of the value of the vehicle.

2. To apply for vehicle insurance in an insurance company (any insurance company will do), the required materials include: ID card, driver's license, copy of vehicle certificate, and pay the insurance premium (about 3,500 yuan) according to the vehicle value and insurance items.

3. Conduct vehicle inspection at the designated vehicle inspection agency (except for vehicles exempted from inspection by the state). Required information: copy of vehicle certificate and ID card. The inspection fee is about 150.

4. Go to the local traffic control department (traffic police detachment or vehicle management office) to apply for car license and vehicle driving license. The required materials include: purchase tax invoice, insurance certificate, vehicle inspection certificate, driver's license and copy of ID card. The cost is around 200 yuan.
