The use of state subsidies
The national grant is to show the concern of the party and the government for students from poor families in ordinary undergraduate colleges, higher vocational colleges and junior colleges. Funded jointly by the central and local governments, it is used to subsidize full-time students with financial difficulties in ordinary undergraduate colleges (including higher vocational colleges and second bachelor's degrees).

State grants mainly support the living expenses of students from poor families. The average subsidy standard of state grants is 3,000 yuan per student per year, and the specific standard is determined within the range of1500-4,000 yuan per student per year, divided into 2-3 grades.

The classification and specific standards of state grants for central universities are determined by the Ministry of Finance in consultation with relevant departments, and those for local universities are determined by provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government).
