UNIFI parameter setting
The UniFi-Discover tool can be used to find the UniFiAP equipment on the second floor, locate and take over the second and third floors, and reset the equipment to the factory state.

This section will guide you how to use the UniFi-Discover tool.

Methods/steps

1.UniFi controller after the installation is completed, you can find the following UniFi-Discover icon in the installation directory (MACOSX is in launchpad and Windows is in the start menu), and click Run;

(Note: UniFi-Discover and UniFiController cannot be opened at the same time in MACOSX X. You need to close one before opening the other. )

2. Please refer to the basic configuration instructions to set up the computer and plug the UniFiAP into the POE adapter or switch. Wait a moment, and the UniFi devices in the same layer 2 network will be automatically found and appear in the list:

(1) The description displayed as pending is the equipment in the default state of the original factory, and it can be directly managed without being managed by the controller.

(2) If it is displayed as managed/adopted, it means that the device has been managed by the controller, and the original password of the device needs to be reset or entered before it can be directly managed (this is for security, so as not to illegally manage or modify the configuration of the AP).

3. You can see the locate, manage and reset buttons at the back of the AP list. Their functions are locate, manage and reset respectively:

Click one of the buttons to pop up the management dialog box and display the equipment information): Status: the current status of the equipment will be displayed, and the factory status will be displayed to be determined; The managed/adopted model will be displayed: display the current device model and firmware version IP address: display the IP address of the current device;

If there is a DHCP server, the device can obtain an automatically assigned or specified IP address;

Otherwise, the device will use the default IP address192.5438+068.438+0.20; Operation: You can select the operation to be performed on this device through the drop-down window;

User Name/Password: For any of the above operations, you need to provide the user name and password of the device.

The default is ubnt/ubnt. If it is managed by the controller, the password can be found under the controller's site.
