Anhui Engineering University is a provincial multi-disciplinary institution of higher learning and a key construction institution in Anhui Province. It is the construction institution of the national central and western universities' basic capacity building project (Phase II), which belongs to the middle and high level.

Anhui University of Engineering has 16 secondary colleges and continuing education colleges, such as Mechanical Engineering College. Relying on robot engineering, data science and big data technology, artificial intelligence, intelligence science and technology and other emerging engineering majors, it is the first to set up an artificial intelligence college in Anhui universities.

In terms of undergraduate training, there are more than 60 undergraduate enrollment majors, covering engineering, science, literature, management, economics, law, art and other categories, including 19 national first-class professional construction sites, 29 provincial first-class professional construction sites, 15 national and provincial comprehensive reform pilot majors, 24 national and provincial excellent talent training programs, and 8 majors have passed the project approval.

In terms of postgraduate training, there are 17 authorized points for master's degree in first-class disciplines, 1 1 authorized categories for master's degree and 3 authorized points for interdisciplinary master's degree. It has a provincial-level Industry-University-Research joint postgraduate training demonstration base, a provincial-level professional degree case base and a teaching case promotion center.

The school has more than 0/600 faculty members, including more than 550 with senior titles. The school has hired a group of well-known scholars at home and abroad, including academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Academy of Engineering, as part-time professors, and introduced high-level talents as discipline leaders. More than 90 people won the title of famous teachers (teams) in talent engineering and teaching at or above the provincial level, and 7/kloc-0 people won the prize in the teaching competition for teachers at or above the provincial level, and gradually built a teaching and research team with rich teaching experience, high academic level and strong scientific research ability.
