The national student loan is aimed at full-time freshmen and students in colleges and universities who have China nationality, are honest and law-abiding, and their family income is insufficient to pay the basic expenses needed to complete their studies. The annual loan amount shall not exceed 8,000 yuan for undergraduate students and12,000 yuan for graduate students, and the longest loan period shall not exceed 22 years. The loan interest of students during their stay in school is fully subsidized by the financial department, and the grace period of "no repayment of principal, only repayment of interest" is within 60 months after graduation.

How to apply for a student loan?

Students in Jiangsu can apply for student-origin credit student loans or national student loans on campus. Student loans are applied once a year.

To apply for a student-origin credit student loan, students who apply for a loan for the first time submit a loan pre-application in high school, and during the formal acceptance of the loan, they will go to the Student Financial Assistance Management Center of the County Education Bureau where the household registration is located with the borrower. If you can't apply for a loan in advance due to special circumstances, you can collect and fill in the Application Form for Identification of Students with Financial Difficulties at the handling site, and then continue to apply for a loan according to the above procedures. When formally applying for a loan, please bring your household registration book, ID card, admission notice and loan application form.
