Only a few regional provident fund management centers have reached an agreement to handle provident fund loans across regions.

As of January 1, 2016, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen have fully implemented the provident fund off-site loan policy, while the Guangzhou housing provident fund off-site loan policy is only implemented within the city's household registration.
