Can college students apply for a credit card? Which banks can do it?
It is difficult for college students to apply for a credit card.

To apply for a credit card, you need to submit proof that you have a stable repayment ability, such as proof of work (income), proof of real estate and vehicles in your name, proof of bank deposits in your name, and so on. In the past, credit card approval was very loose, and banks issued many cards to college students. Now the approval is tightened. Banks such as ICBC, China Construction Bank, China Merchants Bank and Bank of Communications all have university student credit cards, but the second repayment source should be implemented.

Banking financial institutions should follow the principle of prudence in issuing credit cards to students. Credit cards (except supplementary cards) shall not be issued to students under the age of 18. When issuing credit cards to students who have reached the age of 18 and have no fixed job or stable income, the second repayment source must be implemented, and the second repayment source should have the corresponding repayment ability. Before issuing a card, a banking financial institution must confirm that the second repayment source has agreed in writing to bear the corresponding repayment responsibility, otherwise it may not issue a card.
