Zhejiang Guoneng Zhoushan Power Plant is the first large-scale thermal power plant in China to be built with World Bank loan. At present, it manages and operates 7 coal-fired generating units with a total installed capacity of 5340MW, which is one of the largest thermal power plants in China and has a good future development prospect.

Zhoushan, a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Zhejiang Province, is the central city of the Yangtze River Delta and an important city in the Shanghai metropolitan area.
