What is the development trend of non-performing loans?
At present, the trend of non-performing loan ratio is definitely rising, at least in the last year or two. As far as I know, most banks are trying to curb and control the non-performing loan ratio, and some loans with potential risks can be withheld to maintain the regulatory rating and public confidence. Many banks are actively looking for new ways to increase profits, because the rising rate of non-performing loans makes the risk control of banks more strict and cautious, the growth rate of loans declines, and some grass-roots branches even have negative loan growth. The one I mentioned above said that the actual NPL ratio was less than 4%. In fact, this is only a part of banks, while the NPL ratio of other banks may actually have exceeded 10%. As far as I know, the NPL ratio of a municipal bank in my area has reached 17%, and the president and vice president have all been dismissed. Of course, this is related to the relative imperfection of some of their loan products, but this is mainly affected by the economic environment.
