If an employee's spouse or minor children are hospitalized due to a major illness, they can withdraw their own and their spouses' housing provident fund to help the employee's family with a major illness solve their living difficulties. Employees should apply for withdrawal of an amount not exceeding the personal burden of hospitalization expenses within one year from the date of discharge.
Diseases supported by provident fund: Common diseases include: family members (including employees, spouses and minor children) suffering from major diseases or major operations (including myocardial infarction; Uremia; Leukemia; Cirrhosis; Aplastic anemia; The wind heart is narrow and closed; Cerebral vascular malformation; Cerebrovascular accident; Necrotizing intestinal obstruction; Liver atrophy; Severe compound trauma;
Severe electric injury; Various cancerous lesions; Major organ transplantation; Coronary artery bypass grafting; Heart valve surgery; Aortic surgery; Benign brain tumor; Severe Alzheimer's disease; Severe Parkinson's disease; Severe burns;
Severe primary pulmonary hypertension; Severe motor neuron disease) hospitalization, employees and their spouses can apply for the withdrawal of housing provident fund, the application date should be within one year from the date of discharge, and the total withdrawal should not exceed the personal burden of hospitalization expenses.
Legal basis: Article 24 of the Regulations on the Management of Housing Provident Fund: In any of the following circumstances, employees may withdraw the storage balance in the housing provident fund account:
Purchase, construction, renovation and overhaul of owner-occupied housing;
2 retired;
(three) completely lose the ability to work, and terminate the labor relationship with the unit;
(4) Having left the country to settle down;
(5) Repaying the principal and interest of the house purchase loan;
Rent exceeds the prescribed proportion of family wage income.
In accordance with the provisions of items (2), (3) and (4) of the preceding paragraph, the employee housing provident fund account shall be cancelled at the same time.
If an employee dies or is declared dead, the employee's heirs and legatees may withdraw the storage balance in the employee's housing provident fund account; If there is no heir or legatee, the storage balance in the employee housing provident fund account will be included in the value-added income of the housing provident fund.
