The working hours of the government administrative service center are conducted according to the unified arrangement of the government. Northeast China, North China, Central China, South China and Central South China are all from 8 am to 12 pm and from 3 pm to 18 pm. Generally, we rest on Saturdays and Sundays, and all Saturdays and Sundays before and after the festival are subject to the holiday arrangement in the State Council. The predecessor of the administrative service center is the administrative examination and approval service center, also known as the government service center. It is a comprehensive administrative service organization integrating information consultation, fee approval, management coordination and complaint supervision.

The General Offices of the General Office of the Central Committee of the CPC and the State Council issued the Opinions on Deepening the Openness of Government Affairs and Strengthening Government Services (hereinafter referred to as the Opinions), which pointed out that it is necessary to gradually establish and improve the government service system and give full play to the role of the service center (i.e. the government (administrative) service center).
