Can ID photos be borrowed online?

When discussing whether ID card photos can be used for online loans, the law clearly states that the answer is no. The current online loan policy requires loan applicants to provide real personal information, including name, phone number, ID photo and bank card information, rather than just an ID photo. According to the provisions of Article 680 of the "People's Republic of China and Civil Code", lending activities must comply with state restrictions on interest rates, usury is prohibited, and if interest is not agreed upon in the loan contract, it will default to an interest-free loan.

If the terms of the loan contract regarding interest payment are unclear, the court will refer to local market transaction habits, interest rates and other factors to determine the interest. However, in loans between natural persons, the default is usually no interest. It is worth noting that even if a loan contract is signed, if the agreed interest rate exceeds four times the market price of a one-year loan, the court will not support the excess.

Therefore, whether in terms of legal terms or actual operation, the ID photo itself cannot be used as the only proof for online loans. Loan applicants need to provide complete personal information to meet the loan requirements. Please make sure you provide accurate and compliant information when applying for a loan.
