If the short-term credit report is overdue, the debtor may take the initiative to contact the financial institution after making up the arrears in time to try not to report it. Not all overdue cases will be immediately displayed on the personal credit report. If a financial institution contacts the bank in arrears and pays off the arrears before reporting to the Credit Information Center of the People's Bank of China, it may not report the problem, and there will be no problem of overdue records.
After the deadline, financial institutions will submit the overdue information to the credit information system of the People's Bank of China, resulting in bad records. If the personal credit report is overdue, as long as a good credit record is maintained from the date of recording and after the arrears are paid off, the bad credit record can be cleared after 5 years.
Individuals who think that there are errors or omissions in the information in the credit report may file an objection application with the Credit Information Center and Credit Information Sub-center of the People's Bank of China. After accepting the objection application, the Credit Information Center will contact the financial institution providing the objection information for verification, and reply to the objection applicant within 20 days after accepting the objection application.
