ADP refers to U.S. employment data, which the market calls "small non-agricultural employment". It is an advance forecast of U.S. non-agricultural employment and has a huge impact on gold, silver, foreign exchange, etc. It is generally released on the evening of the day before the release of U.S. non-farm payroll data (i.e. Thursday). The ADP National Employment Report is sponsored by ADP and is developed and maintained by Macroeconomic Advisers. This report is collected from approximately 500,000 anonymous American companies and is a reflection of the employment situation in the United States.
Non-farm employment is an official data, and ADP employment is an unofficial survey data, but ADP is also a huge organization, with investigators in every city in the world.
