China Investment Corporation, a state-owned enterprise, was established on September 29th, 2007. It is a wholly state-owned company engaged in the investment management of foreign exchange funds in accordance with the Company Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) (hereinafter referred to as the Company Law).
Central Huijin Investment Co., Ltd. was merged into CIC as a wholly-owned subsidiary. CIC mainly makes diversified investments through overseas financial portfolio products to maintain and increase the value of foreign exchange assets.
At present, CIC's foreign exchange investment business mainly focuses on overseas financial portfolio products. The company implements separation of government from enterprise, independent operation and commercial operation.
