In recent years, the international status of RMB has been continuously improved. According to the previous data, as of 2065438+July 2008, RMB payment accounted for 2.04% of global transactions, up by 0.23 percentage points. While maintaining the status of the fifth largest trading currency, it has also risen from time to time, showing great growth potential. In addition, apart from the change of the proportion of RMB payment in global transactions, the appreciation of RMB has also led to a greater increase in the value of payment, which on the other hand has also boosted the status of RMB.
Although the cross-border use of RMB in China is not low, there is still a big gap between RMB and USD on a global scale, even compared with USD. Although the share of RMB in the global payment market is on the rise, the rising speed is slow, and there is still a long way to go to be on an equal footing with the US dollar.
