He Yutang's grandfather, father, father-in-law and uncle are all well-known local folk singers. /kloc-at the age of 0/0, he formally learned to sing folk songs in his parents' spare time of farming. Over time, he became a famous singer in Ansai area. Villagers are invited to sing at weddings and funerals. He Yutang can sing one or two hundred songs for three or four hours at a time. So far, he has been able to sing more than 1000 folk songs about Jiuqu, Xintianyou, Daoqing in northern Shaanxi, Wan Wan Qiang and other northern Shaanxi, Shanxi and Inner Mongolia.

He Yutang likes folk songs since he was a child. Over time, he learned the golden voice. His singing is loud and exciting, beautiful and full of emotion. According to expert tests, its pronunciation height is high F, which is three degrees higher than Pavarotti's world-famous high C. The Yellow River is ninety-nine bends in the world, with a beam climbing uphill and thousands of miles of water returning to the sea, all of which are thrilling and stirring.

He Yutang grew up poor and bumpy, simple and kind, rich in meaning and deep in loess. After his collection, creation and adaptation, there are as many as 1000 folk songs in northern Shaanxi. They are easy to get and improvise, which is really touching and lamentable. Over the years, he sang for ordinary people at any time and accompanied more than 70 Chinese and foreign films, polishing the theme and icing on the cake.

1986 He Yutang won the second prize of singing and the third prize of writing in the first China Folk Music Competition, and was officially named the king of folk songs by the Propaganda Department of the CPC.
