Enterprises with foreign investment can pay profits directly to foreign investors in banks without going to the foreign exchange bureau for approval of profit remittance. However, when a foreign-invested enterprise remits profits, it shall complete the submission of the foreign exchange annual report of the previous year. When the bank goes through the formalities of profit remittance, it will ask the enterprise to provide information such as profit distribution resolutions and tax returns stipulated by laws and regulations. Foreign-invested enterprises can pay dividends received by overseas shareholders in the interim according to law.
