Among the many Mozart's divertimentos, the three works numbered K.136, K.137, and K.138 (K6 numbered K.125a, K.125b, and K.125c, respectively) are the most famous, while the remaining two works, K.137 in B-flat major and K.138 in F major, are stylistically similar to K.136, and are also the most famous of Mozart's serenades. Mozart composed a number of serenades during his lifetime, the simplest of which are in three movements (e.g., K.239) and the largest of which are in eight movements (e.g., K.250).
