Oriental College of Shandong University of Finance and Economics covers an area of more than 530 acres.

Dongfang College of Shandong University of Finance and Economics, located in Tai'an City, Shandong Province, is a full-time independent college approved by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China and jointly organized by Shandong University of Finance and Economics and Shandong Gold Group Company Limited in accordance with the new mechanism and new mode. The school is a unit of the National Alliance of Universities of Applied Technology, a pilot university of the Ministry of Education's "Data China Industry and Education Integration Promotion Program", and a unit of the National Union of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Practice.

The school was founded in 2005, and in June 2012 it was renamed Oriental College of Shandong University of Finance and Economics. According to the official website of the school in April 2023, the school covers an area of more than 530 acres, with a building area of 154,000 square meters; it has eight secondary colleges, 28 undergraduate majors and professional directions; and there are more than 8,500 full-time students.

According to the school's official website in April 2023, the school offers 28 undergraduate majors in accounting, finance, etc., covering six disciplines: economics, management, science, engineering, literature, and arts; it has eight second-level colleges and Zhenbao Accounting College, Shuguang Ruiyi Big Data College, Oriental Expo Digital Creative College, Huawei ICT College, and Tencent Penguin Oriental Full Media College.

As of November 2018, the school*** has 156 full-time teachers, including 24 dual-teacher teachers, 13 staff with full senior titles, 17 staff with associate senior titles, 98 staff with intermediate titles, 28 staff with junior titles and below, 4 PhDs and 109 masters, with master's degree teachers accounting for 69.9% of the total number of teachers, and PhDs accounting for 2.5% of the total number of teachers.

September 2019, the school's official website shows that the school and Malaysia's elite universities to build "international college to bachelor, master's degree, double diploma undergraduate" joint cultivation of talent model; and Birmingham City University **** build Financial management and practice (specialist) international experimental classes.
