Gao Zhiliang, graduated from Xi'an Geological Institute (now Chang'an University) majoring in geophysics, is now the honorary dean and chief expert of the Institute of Intelligent Oil and Gas Field Research of Chang'an University (former Chang'an University Digital Oilfield Research Institute), and a foreign member of the Russian Academy of Engineering.

He graduated from Xi'an College of Geology, majoring in geophysics, and was engaged in geophysics teaching and management, and oil exploration and searching, etc. In 2005, he founded the Digital Oilfield Research Institute of Chang'an University, and became the director, and was upgraded to the Institute of Intelligent Oil and Gas Field Research of Chang'an University in 2020 as the chief expert.

He is a member of the National Center for the 21st Century's Expert Pool, an expert in the Ministry of Science and Technology's "863" program and major special projects, and an expert in the Shaanxi Province's expert group on big data and the integration of "two chemistries".

Academic Achievements:

Mr. Gao and his team have made three main achievements and contributions. First, theoretical research and giving programs. He has published 5 books in the series of "Digital Oilfield in China" ****.

Preliminarily and comprehensively summarized the basic laws and methods of digital construction of oilfields in China, gave the complete path and direction of digital oilfields from digitalization and intelligent construction to intelligent construction, and gave the basic solutions for construction, shifting from tracking research to leading research; Second, building platforms and technology promotion.

Since 2009, every two years, has organized and held 7+3 sessions of the International Academic Conference on Digital Oilfield, has invited thousands of domestic and foreign experts to conduct in-depth academic exchanges and discussions, the purpose is to build a platform for exchanges, and comprehensively promote the advanced concepts, technologies and methods; third is the cooperation between the industry, academia and research to innovate the practice of digital oilfield.

Successively established digital oilfield and intelligent oilfield construction bases with Yanchang Oilfield, Daqing Qingxin Oilfield, etc., and won the China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation (Individual) Award in 2023, etc.
