Public cloud, private cloud and hybrid cloud all have their own advantages. Public cloud provides the flexibility and scalability of pay-per-use architecture. Private cloud based on local infrastructure provides control for enterprises. Hybrid cloud is a mixture of private cloud and public cloud service, which is realized by orchestration. However, when choosing the right cloud model for big data, we need to pay more attention to each model.

Although tight control is tempting, the local characteristics of private cloud are not ideal for big data. On the contrary, public cloud is more suitable for on-demand big data tasks. However, the potential bandwidth limitation and data transmission cost are worrying issues.
