TikTok and Jitterbug are two apps from the same company (ByteDance).TikTok is the version released in overseas markets while Jitterbug is the version released in the Chinese market.TikTok was initially launched overseas by ByteDance in September 2017, and with its rapid growth and success ByteDance decided to roll it out to its home market, namely China. To accommodate the domestic market, ByteDance created the Jitterbug app and launched it in September 2016. Although TikTok and Jieyin are essentially the same type of app, they have some differences in a few areas. Firstly, they have slightly different user interfaces.TikTok targets mainly overseas markets, so it has a more international design, whereas Jieyin is more suited to Chinese users.
