University of Electronic Science and Technology of China Chengdu College can upgrade from junior college to bachelor's degree.

University of Electronic Science and Technology of China Chengdu College, located in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, was founded in 2001. Approved by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China and the State Council, it is a joint venture between the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China and Chengdu Guoteng Industrial Group Co., Ltd. The cooperatively organized private independent college mainly at the undergraduate level is a national international software talent training base, a national software industry base talent training center, and a member of the CDIO Engineering Education Alliance.

On July 16, 2001, Guoteng Software College of University of Electronic Science and Technology of China was officially established. On July 14, 2003, the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China Guo Teng College of Software and the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China Guo Teng College of Microelectronics merged to form the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China Guo Teng College. On February 23, 2004, Guoteng College of University of Electronic Science and Technology of China was renamed as University of Electronic Science and Technology of China Chengdu College and was recognized as an independent college by the Ministry of Education.
