Data source: big data analysis of the summer 2016 college graduation season by Sycamore Fruit

From the analysis of the big data, we know that there is a large gap in the employment difficulty index (number of graduates/number of jobs in demand) between different majors.

The top ten majors in terms of employment difficulty

Agricultural Economy and Management, Geology, Mining, Herbology, Finance, Tourism Management, Security Science and Engineering, Economy and Trade, Nature Conservation and Environmental Ecology, and Environmental Science and Engineering.

Analysis of the reasons

The situation of these ten professions is different, geology, mining is due to the slowdown of China's economy and the supply-side reform caused by the reduction in demand; while the demand for jobs in the economy and trade category is not low, but due to the supply of graduates of this specialty is much larger, and therefore, graduates of economics and trade are more difficult to find employment.

Relatively easy to employ the distribution of some of the supply and demand for cold specialties, such as military, medicine, astronomy, art theory, etc., especially in the medical supply and demand contradiction is the most prominent in the most easy to employ the 20 professions, medical professionals have as many as 10, occupying half of the river.
