(1) Simple type: onset in adolescents, slow progress, apathy and lack of will as the main clinical manifestations, generally no hallucinations and delusions, and rapid decline in intelligence with the progress of the disease.
(2) Puberty type: The onset is mostly between 15-25 years old, and the course of disease is slow, with emotional disorder and communication disorder as the main symptoms, and often manifested as self-laughing, broken thinking, weird behavior, stupid affectation and hyperactivity of instinctive activities.
(3) Tension type: onset in young adults, mostly acute onset, with psychomotor disorder as the outstanding performance, which can be manifested as nervous inhibition or nervous excitement, and the two can also appear alternately. Typical manifestations are stiff and waxy buckling, which has a good prognosis.
(4) Paranoia: It mostly occurs in middle age, with slow onset and delusion as the main performance. Common clinical symptoms include delusion of victimization, delusion of jealousy, delusion of influence, delusion of hypochondriasis and so on. The course of the disease progresses slowly, and the general mental decline is not obvious.
(5) Other types: A considerable number of patients have various symptoms in clinic, so it is difficult to classify them into any of the above four types, and they are generally classified as "unclassified".
