Pang Zhiqiang

Born in 1965, Pang Zhiqiang is a Han Chinese male from Qin'an, Gansu Province, who graduated from Lanzhou University of Finance and Economics with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics in 1989. He is now a professor in the School of Statistics of Lanzhou University of Finance and Economics, and the supervisor of doctoral students in statistics. He is an excellent teacher of "Gardening Award" in Gansu Province, a famous teacher in Gansu Province, selected as the second level of leading talents in Gansu Province, one of the "four batches" of theoretical talents in Gansu propaganda and culture system, a special researcher of Counselor's Office of Gansu People's Government, a member of Expert Committee of Gansu Disaster Reduction Committee, and a member of China Higher Financial Education and Training Commission. He is a special researcher of the Counselor's Office of the Gansu Provincial People's Government, a member of the Expert Committee of the Gansu Provincial Disaster Reduction Committee, an executive vice-chairman of the Statistics Specialty Collaboration Group of the China Higher Finance and Economics Education Sub-Committee, an executive director of the National Society for Teaching and Research of Industrial Statistics, and a member of the Lecturer Corps of Gansu Provincial Committee.

Personal Experiences

Bachelor's Degree of Lanzhou University of Business Studies in June 1987, and stayed in the university to work. She has been responsible for teaching Sampling Techniques, Statistics, Statistical Forecasting and Decision Making, Social Survey Methods, Comprehensive Evaluation Methods, Econometrics, Frontier Topics in Statistics and other courses.

Promoted to Lecturer in 1995, Associate Professor in 2001, and Professor in 2006.

Teaching

Presided over the construction of the national first-class specialty point of statistics, the provincial characteristic specialty of economic statistics, the provincial first-class (characteristic) discipline of statistics, as well as the provincial high-quality course of "Sample Survey".

Leads the undergraduate courses Introduction to Big Data and Social Survey Methods, and the graduate courses Sampling Techniques, Market Research, and Methods of Socio-Economic Statistical Analysis.

Research Direction

Centered on the direction of socio-economic statistics, he is committed to statistical empirical research on survey techniques and issues of economic, social, scientific and technological development in the west.

Research Achievements

As of April 2020, she has summarized the "Kang County Model of Beautiful Countryside Construction". She has presided over and completed 6 provincial and ministerial projects and more than 20 important horizontal commissioned projects; published 4 academic monographs; and published more than 80 academic papers. He has won one first prize, three second prizes and six third prizes for excellent teaching and research achievements at the provincial and ministerial levels.

Participated in more than ten major natural disaster damage assessment work in Gansu Province, and accumulated rich experience in disaster damage assessment; devoted to the investigation and research of major social realities, and actively contributed to the decision-making of the provincial party committee and the provincial government, "the breakthroughs in the development of the county economy in the province and the focus of the efforts", "to accelerate the promotion of the strategy of revitalization of the rural areas of the province of the ten proposals" and other nine research reports won the provincial party committee and the provincial government leaders more than 10 times.
