Shantou Polytechnic Xinjin Campus is at No.18 Shantou-Chong Highway, Longhu District, Shantou City, Guangdong Province.

Shantou Polytechnic (Shantou Polytechnic) is a municipal full-time comprehensive post-secondary institution, which, as of June 2022, possesses three provincial-built high-level professional clusters of mechatronics technology, e-commerce, and environmental engineering technology, three provincial-built brand majors of construction engineering management, and three provincial-built brand majors of elevator engineering technology, Hotel Management, Big Data and Accounting, and 3 provincial-level modern apprenticeship pilot majors.

There are four campuses: the main campus, Jinyuan Campus, Xinjin Campus and Dongdun Campus. There are 54 majors in 7 departments: Computer Science, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Economics and Management, Foreign Languages, Arts and Sports, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Natural Sciences. There are about 15,000 full-time students, more than 2,000 students of higher vocational expansion and more than 500 students of adult education.

The college has 618 teaching staff, including 456 full-time teachers. The college has a national training base. Founded in 2002, Shantou Institute of Vocational Technology is a public higher education institution approved by the People's Government of Guangdong Province. As of August 2021, the college covers an area of 1,011.44 acres (including 450 acres under requisition), with a total building area of about 283,000 square meters and a book collection of 960,000 volumes.

The total value of teaching and experimental internship equipment is about 48.41 million yuan.In 2019, Shantou Construction Vocational and Technical School was merged into Shantou Vocational and Technical College.In November 2022, the project proposal for the construction of Shantou Vocational and Technical College's Liuho Campus is being publicized before approval. As of September 2021, Shantou Institute of Vocational Technology has 11 secondary teaching institutions and 55 higher vocational majors. The college has basically formed a schooling system with a complete range of disciplines such as arts, science, engineering, arts and teacher education, the co-existence of junior and middle school general education and adult education, and the glory of academic education and vocational training***.

As of September 2021, Shantou Institute of Vocational Technology has a staff of 802, with 780 teaching staff and 504 full-time teachers, including 157 teachers with senior titles, 384 teachers with doctoral or master's degrees or above, and 76.8% of them are "dual-teacher" teachers. The college also employs a large number of experts and senior engineers with rich practical experience as part-time teachers.
