The following books will not be included in the collection: books that violate the relevant laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China and the provisions of the Copyright Law. Books that are badly damaged and not in sets. Books with underlining, notations, and eyebrow markings (if they are unique books or annotations by celebrities at home and abroad, they are not subject to this limitation) Books with outdated contents and basically no academic reference value. Other books that do not conform to the library's collection development policy. Principles of Shandong University Library's management of donated books: donations are free of charge and without any conditions, and the library determines whether to collect them according to the library's collection development policy and the relevant collection standards. For the collection of donated books, the library in a timely manner for classification and cataloging of valuable books will be set up to give a special shelf (cabinet), a large number of valuable literature and the establishment of a special room collection, and named after the donor's name.
