History: Guangdong Technical Normal College, formerly known as Guangdong College of Nationalities, was founded in 1957 and renamed Guangdong Vocational and Technical Normal College in 1998 and Guangdong Technical Normal College in 2002. 2002 and 2005, the former Guangdong Mechanical School, the former Guangdong Province College of Economics and Management Cadres and Guangdong Province College of Finance and Trade Management Cadres were incorporated into the College. In 2006, it was approved by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council as a master's degree-granting organization. The college began to enroll undergraduate students in 1977, master's degree students in 2007, and international students in 2000.
