Simply put, power users participate in the regulation of supply and demand, take the initiative to spend the peak of no electricity/less electricity, and get some economic compensation.

On peak shifting and peak avoidance;

1. Off-peak refers to reducing electricity consumption during peak hours and moving this part of electricity consumption to off-peak hours.

2. Peak avoidance refers to cutting off, interrupting or stopping power load during peak hours, which usually reduces electricity consumption.

Why should users take the initiative to "respond"?

The secret lies in the price mechanism. In addition to peak-valley electricity prices, users who participate in demand-side response can also get additional subsidies, which is also an important factor to attract users to participate in demand-side response. This subsidy is generally stipulated by the local government authorities and paid by power supply enterprises and load aggregators to participating users.

How do users "respond" and get subsidy incentives?

There are two specific ways.

The first is that you can participate through a power sales company.

Sign a contract with the power selling company, determine to participate in the demand response, and cooperate with the power selling company to declare. After winning the bid, we will adjust our production plan according to the winning time/capacity to reduce power consumption.

The second type: independent participation

What about direct market buyers whose annual electricity consumption reaches 5 million kWh or above?

You can apply for independent participation without going through the power sales company.
